3 Things All Creatives Need to Start Doing (More Of)

These are actually things that I need to be working on, so this vlog is basically the advice I want to give myself. Sharing in case the creatives (and non creatives) out there can relate.

1. Don't be so hard on yourself.

We are our own worst critics. But it really doesn't have to be that way. If this is an issue for you, I highly recommend watching Elizabeth Gilbert's Ted Talk on Your Elusive Creative Genius.

2. Finish what you start

Done is better than perfect. If you quit halfway, you're giving up on yourself and the piece of work you've already put hours into. Don't let it go to waste! Finish it, complete the cycle of creating, and grow throughout the process.

3. Share your work

Your talent is meant to be shared with the world! Don't be selfish and keep it all to yourself. No matter what you think, you never know if somebody out there will appreciate or be touched by your work. Sharing also allows you to get feedback and grow through that. Also, don't be afraid to shamelessly promote yourself.  No one is going to see your stuff unless you actively promote it!  Check out Shameless Maya for more shameless inspiration.

Can you relate? Comment below with your thoughts!
